I will always do my best to groom your dog to meet your requirements. However, this is very much dependent on the condition of their coat and the temperament of your dog in regards to allowing the grooming to take place. In cases where the coat is badly matted, for the welfare of your dog, the hair may need to be clipped off short.
- I will attempt to dematt coats that I think can recover but I will never dematt puppies, infirm, elderly or aggressive dogs.
- If your dog is matted I reserve the right to clip the coat off short to lessen the pain and stress of the dog.
- Matted hair can hide skin sores, cuts, ticks and fleas which once shaved become more visible. I am not liable for any of these conditions.
- If the matts are too tight to the skin your dog may suffer with clipper rash. This cannot be avoided and after care advice will be given.
To prevent this happening you may need to get your dog groomed more regularly or I can show you how to groom your dog at home between professional sessions.
